Michael Thydell – PropTech Swedens expert, is half computer engineer and half architect. For more than 25 years he has worked as a link between these two worlds, supporting the construction and real estate industry in various types of digitalization projects.
Michael previously worked at companies like BIMobject, Sweco and Symetri. He has also served on corporate boards and advisory boards, often as the representative for the digital perspective. Nowadays he is a freelancing consultant.
With Michaels special expertise, he has always been the ability to think outside the box, create new perspectives, strategies and synergies. One of the biggest projects Michael worked with was as the technically responsible expert when the international construction company Bonava, born out of Swedish NCC AB, was created a few years ago.
– It was a fantastic digitalization journey to build from scratch a cloud-based, digitialized, industrial organization in eight countries, Michael says.
The members of the PropTech community get a unique industry perspective and a unique international network with Michael on board. He can often see solutions and opportunities where others see problems and difficulties. Within the real estate industry he first of all believes in ”Stop talking - start doing” for the industry to become more digitalized and sustainable.
